I'm delighted that one of my photos has made it onto the front cover of the Eagle Ski Club Yearbook for 2011. Thanks to William Barney for keeping his feet evenly weighted to produce a great shot on the Haute Route.

The full programme for Kendal Mountain Festival 2011 is now on the net and tickets are on sale for the usual range of films, speakers, fun and frivolity at THE social event of the climbing calendar.

During mid afternoon of 24 August there was a significant rockfall in the Grand Couloir on the Mont Blanc "normal route".
This follows a sustained period of warm weather with freezing levels above 4000m for several days and nights.
