Thanks again Andy for another excellent time, summer climbing around Chamonix,in the Arolla and Zermatt valleys, and then on the italian side of MB too. You even managed to inspire me to re-explore rock-climbing again on our last day in the valley, which is quite an achievement!
As before, you made a rapid assessment of my capacity and limitations and suggested an itinerary that fitted the weather, the conditions, and my decrepit state perfectly. You show great tolerance and humour at all times....well,nearly all....and by copying you we have an excellent role model to shape my alpine behaviour on...to get into good, safe habits instead of my sloppy Himalayan ways.
You are a star Andy, and I expect to be much better motivated for next year, so that I can deliver myself in much better shape for you to work with. What did I say? Not only have I been sitting on my laurels over this last year, but I appear to have eaten a fair amount of them as well! No more of that for me, the Alps have humbled me again.
Have a great summer, and I'll see you around at the Kendal Mountain Festival in november.

A pleasure once to be with you in the mountains once again, Mike!

I shall expect to see a flexible slimline Brennan at the Kendal Mountain Festival in November, though I guess the climbing wall will NOT be forming part of your training regime

All the best
