Andy,
Thanks for a superb week in the Alps. At the start of the week, things didn't look very promising with the weather, but thanks to your willingness to amend the programme and excellent contacts with the hut guardians, we were able to get some acclimatisation in. In the end, the summit day on Mont Blanc was superb and this was due to your commitment in breaking trail through soft snow for hours on end. Without that, we would never have reached the summit.
We learnt a great deal from your expert tuition (and I promise to pay close attention to my abseiling ropework and foot placements!).
Both Oli and I have taken away a lot of happy memories of the week and also the Cd of your excellent photos.
Many thanks and look forward to meeting again before too long.

Hi Richard and Oli,
I have to say that our ascent of Mont Blanc via the "3 Mont Blancs" route was physically the hardest Mont Blanc I have done in a work capacity. The section from the Mur des Cotes to the summit was particularly tough, but we had the reward of having it all to ourselves, which more than made up for the required effort. As with most things in life, you get out what you put in!
I hope we can climb together in the future.
Best wishes,
ANDY
