Eagle Ski Club yearbook

I'm delighted that one of my photos has made it onto the front cover of the Eagle Ski Club Yearbook for 2011. Thanks to William Barney for keeping his feet evenly weighted to produce a great shot on the Haute Route.

For ski tourers and ski mountaineers in Britain, membership of the Eagle Ski Club really is a no-brainer. With a membership of around 1000 keen and active skiers, there's no better way to get linked up with others of like mind. The Club has a policy of 50% of its meets being guided and 50% being organised by the members themselves on an independent basis, so whichever path you pursue there will be something for you in its programme.

Every year under the able direction of Mike and Jenny Spencer the Club produces a Yearbook, an account of all the club's meets plus additional material on all things ski related. I've been contributing images for a number of years and it's a real honour and a pleasure to make the front cover this year. The shot shows all the great payback for that uphill work - perfect powder with no one else around, and all this on one of the most famous ski tours in the world - the Chamonix Zermatt Haute Route.
