I've been away with Andy for a week's ski touring for the last 10 years or so and just wanted to say what fun it has always been. We've ended up in some truly spectacular places (intentionally I hasten to add) and I've learnt more from Andy every year - whether that be the latest tips on skiing, crevasse rescue, transceiver practice or just how to do a kick turn. Not only are the days a great challenge, leaving you well satisfied and with a smile on your face, the evening conversations in a hut make for great banter, accompanied with tonnes of delicious food, washed down with the obligatory glass or two of wine, and the occasional dram.

If you're trying to work out whether you want to go ski touring (whether you be a mountaineer who is trying to take to skis or a skier trying to take to the slightly less spoilt mountains), I would thoroughly recommend a week away with Dr Perkins. That even goes for the much more experienced of you as well.

Andy even tried to teach me how to rock climb at one point, but I think I'll stick to the skis due to fear of heights!

Looking forward to having more fun and great experiences with Andy this year and the years beyond.

Thanks Tim. Looking forward to our adventure on the Ossola Haute Route this year. The hip flask will prove very useful for the unguarded hut experience! Slainté
