Thank you Andy for a fantastic week touring in the Bernese Oberland with our great little group. I was blown away by the scale and majestic beauty of the place, with its 4000m peaks and glaciers flowing and hanging in every direction. From our entry at the Jungfraujoch to our exit down the Lötschental, your guiding, route-finding and snippets of teaching during the week were superb. Your individual advice and coaxing helped me at crucial times to overcome my particular bugbear, fear. I will never forget your and Steve's booming laughter at my exclamation HMMG!! at the Fieschergrat, peering over the edge to the 1000m drop below! And a special thank you for conveniently parking my ski to catch my falling iphone on that smooth steep slope! You obviously have magical powers!

Steve Smith has asked me to say that he agrees with the above post; some gremlins are preventing him from commenting himself.

My log in is now fixed, thanks Andy.
The Oberland week was excellent with Andy meticulously looking out for our safety, giving us a clear and memorable tutorial on crevasse rescue (keeping it simple for us mortals who don't get to practice too often) and constantly imparting advice and knowledge throughout the week.
He also chose suitably interesting but attainable objectives for our little group including 3 summits.

Thanks Elly and Steve, for your kind words. I certainly enjoyed myself during the week. Having trekked through the Oberland on foot several times, I decided long ago I'd prefer to ski those enormous glaciers. It certainly lived up to expectations, especially with the fresh snow.

All the best, and I hope to ski with you both again next season.
