Pre-season safety training organised by the Syndicat National des Guides de Montagne.

There will lots of discussion on risk assessment, particularly with regard to travel in avalanche terrain. It's great to be a member of 2 guiding associations to get a variety of perspectives on our profession.

The Syndicat is organising a total of 19 sessions throughout France. I'm at the very first of them at the Salle Bicentennaire in Chamonix. Looking forward to it, mes confrères français!

Off Piste Awareness training for Zak and Fil, two lads living in the same building as me and Lise. Now they're getting good on their skis, they need to know how to look after themselves and where the limits are.
